The Matcha Whisk

These whisks are created by Komakichi, the youngest Chasen maker in all of Japan, and are part of a family lineage that dates back to the earliest documentation of Chasens being made, at least seven generations. When learning the craft from his grandfather, he was advised to "sit down and stay in the same spot from sunrise to sunset". This skill allowed him to understand the importance of lineage and discipline by tolerating the deep physical and mental discomfort it takes to produce a Chasen. With only 20 authentic Chasen makers alive, this is an object meant to be passed down to the next generation. In the meantime, we highly recommend using one for your beloved daily Matcha ritual.
